How do I contact a facility manager?
The easiest and fastest way to connect with a member of our team is to contact us through this website or call us on the phone! A facility manager will reply to your email or call the phone number you provide as soon as possible. We are eager to help!

How do I lock my unit?
Tenants are required to keep the unit locked at all times. Tenants can provide and apply their own lock or purchase a disk lock from us that is yours to keep. All unit doors are equipped with an easy to use latch system. Please do not apply two locks to your unit. We recommend disc locks for added security, but padlocks can be used as well.

What if my preferred unit size is not available?
If the unit size is marked "not available" on the facility page, please consider reserving or moving into a different size unit that is available or check back at a later date. You may also consider reserving the unit size you'd like for when it becomes available. We encourage you to CALL US if this is the case. We may be able to provide more up-to-date information and timelines than our website represents.

What is "Drive-Up Access"?
Drive-up access is a useful amenity that allows you to park your vehicle right in front of your unit. This way, you can load or unload your items in just a few minutes, even if it’s your first storage rental experience! All of our driveways will fit cars & trucks with small trailers, and moderately-sized U-Haul-type rental box trucks.

Do you require a security deposit?

We require a security deposit equal to one month's rent for all new leases. This is fully refunded when at least 10 days-notice is provided in advance of your move-out date and the unit is returned clean, undamaged, and empty. The unit must be in MOVE-IN CONDITION for the next renter.

How long do I have to stay?
Our minimum rental requirement is 14 days or greater. We will pro-rate the rent if your lease starts before the 1st of the month, however, there are no rent refunds if you choose to move-out before the last day of the month. If the pro-rated rent timeframe is equal to 14 days or less before the end of the month, you will be charged for the next month's rent. Rent a unit for one month, one year, or one lifetime! Our rental agreements are based on a month-to-month tenancy with 10 days advance notice of the expected move-out date. All rent payments are due on the 1st of the month.

Can I pay my bills online?
Of course! In fact, we prefer that you do! Our online bill pay option with its automatic monthly billing feature allows our customers to pay their rent and lease additional storage units from anywhere with an internet connection! Let us know how we can assist you in utilizing our online system! We accept all major credit cards and checking account ACH payments.

What type of security do you offer?

We have complete video surveillance of the storage facility for your protection and benefit, as well as ours. The facility is located in a great neighborhood with mostly residential housing. Second to that, the other local business owners nearby are vigilant of the traffic in the area and do keep an eye on the property for us each and every day. The credit union across the street has 24-7 surveillance of the road frontage as a good back-up to our systems.

Our team is also LOCAL and lives within 10 minutes of the facility. We are frequently in the area to keep an eye on the storage facility. We do not offer fencing and gate control due to site logistics and the necessity to handle the Vermont snowfalls in an efficient and timely fashion.

Do you have pest control?

Yes, we offer pest control in the summer months.

Can I purchase tenant insurance?

No, we do not offer tenant insurance. We carry required insurance on our physical property to protect us and our facility due to a loss. You store your belongings at your sole risk. We STRONGLY SUGGEST that you carry your own renter's insurance policy on your personal property through your own insurance company, as noted in our rental contract, Section 11.

How do I utilize my storage unit during winter months & what is the snow/ice removal policy?

We are committed to making your unit available 24/7/365. With that being said, winter in Vermont obviously has its challenges. It may take up to 72 hours for the driveways to be fully plowed AFTER any snowfall. Also, we are not be able to plow up to the door of your unit without risk of damage to the buildings or our equipment.

Due to this, we recommend you BRING A SNOW SHOVEL AND WINTER CLOTHING WHEN YOU ACCESS YOUR STORAGE UNIT! We ask that you use your best judgement when accessing your unit during the cold weather months-DRIVEWAYS, RAMPS, FLOORS, AND STEPS MAY BE SLIPPERY DUE TO ICE - PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

Are there any items that I cannot store?
Yes, several. You cannot store live animals, food, pet food, perishable items, flammable items, explosives, or hazardous materials. Please use common sense about what you are putting in storage and PLEASE contact us if you have questions about storage of a particular item. Please see your rental contract for clarification on this matter.

Is it OK to move in with rain expected?

You can, but we do not recommend it. If you cannot postpone your move-in day, then we recommend covering your belongings with tarps. This will provide protection for larger pieces of furniture and other belongings. Special attention to electronics always makes sense, but especially so if there is rain in the forecast. We also recommend sturdy slip-resistant shoes, long sleeves, pants, rain gear, and work gloves to keep you safe.
